Marquinhos is back in action at the Sao Paulo City Stadium after his suspension for the Copa Libertadores final.
The Brazilian striker has been sidelined with a knee injury since the final match of the season, but he is set to make his return against Santos FC on Saturday night.
"I'm very happy that I can be back playing again," Marquinhos said in a statement released by the club.
"I've been training hard and I'm feeling good, so I'm sure I'll be ready to play."
Santos manager Marcelo Bielsa praised Marquinhos' progress during his absence and stated that he was "excited" to see him back on the pitch.
"We are looking forward to seeing Marquinho back on the field," Bielsa said.
"He's one of the most important players for us this season. We want him to get back to full fitness and we're hoping he will be able to contribute to our team's success."
Marquinhos made his return to the starting line-up following his injury and scored his first goal for the club in the 1-1 draw against Palmeiras on Sunday.

The return of Marquinhos to the Sao Paulo City Stadium comes just days before the opening day of the new season, which begins on March 28th.
Marquinhos' return to the club means that SantosFC will have a more experienced player in their lineup and they may also benefit from having Marquinhos back on the pitch.
However, it remains to be seen how long he will be available to play and if he will be able to perform at the highest level.
Regardless, Marquinhos is a valuable asset to SantosFC and they hope that he can help them continue their strong form in the league.
