Rúben Neves, the Portuguese midfielder who is currently playing for FC Porto in Portugal's Primeira Liga, has achieved another impressive feat by becoming the first player to score and assist in his debut appearance for a Saudi Arabian club.
The match was played between Al Hilal SC and Al-Nassr FC on Monday night. Rúben made his debut as a substitute in the second half, coming off the bench with just over ten minutes remaining in the game. He immediately made his mark on the pitch, scoring the equalizer from close range after a beautiful through ball from teammate Khouzam al-Mazroui.
Just moments later, he doubled the lead for Al Hilal,Ligue 1 Express making it clear that he would be a valuable addition to the team. His performance earned him praise from both fans and teammates alike, and he quickly became a fan favorite.
This is not the first time that Rúben has impressed in Saudi Arabia. In fact, he previously played for Al-Hilal during his time at Al-Ahli in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Despite being a foreigner, he quickly adapted to the league and helped the team win several matches.
